This is kind of neat. To bolster sales for the Galaxy S III smartphone, Samsung is running the biggest cinema advertising campaign ever executed in partnership with National CineMedia. Most importantly, this campaign features an interactive 3D game that the audience can participate with. Credit to James Stewart for giving us a heads up (James Stewarts’s production company was responsible for the live action and 3D consulting). This campaign will be running all summer long on approximately 18,000 screens nationwide.
The cruel irony is that Samsung’s Galaxy S III isn’t a 3D smartphone, so all the stereoscopic 3D fun begins and ends with the ad trailer. Maybe the Galaxy S IV can take it up a notch and really blow some minds?
