LG Thrill 4G (Finally) Gets Updated!

LG Thrill 4G
Bordering on a religious occasion, the LG Thrill 4G has finally received its Gingerbread update.  The Thrill 4G is LG's first foray into stereoscopic 3D mobile technology, and features a 3D camera, glasses free S-3D display, and some cool functionality all around.

The only caveats with its first release were poor battery life, a slow response camera, and an out of date version of Android.  The Optimus 3D received its firmware update ages ago, but AT&T's Thrill 4G took much longer, and all hope was nearly lost.  There were even threats of class action suits by angry customers!

The good news is this firmware update makes a big difference for the Thrill.  Better battery life, a more effective camera, snappier performance, and yes - stereoscopic 3D drivers for mobile OpenGL games are all benefits attached to the software update.

We'll run it thorugh its paces soon enough.  For fellow LG Thril 4G owners out there, save yourself some headaches and remember to put the phone in "Debug Mode" in the application settings.  If this isn't done, the phone may not get recognized by the LG Update software.
