Sony Going Retro in 3D!

Ratchet & Clank
One of the big advantages of stereoscopic 3D technology is it brings new life to old titles.  It’s kind of a shame that in PC gaming, DirectX 7 and 8 are no longer 3D playable because their simpler graphics and hard edges made for a compelling experience.  Let’s face it: Battlefield 1942 rocked in 3D, and you haven’t played Klingon Academy unless you’ve experienced it in all three dimensions.

Sony gets this, and they are releasing PS2’s Ratchet and Clank 10th Anniversary edition featuring remastered versions of Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal…with stereoscopic 3D support.

NOTE: the modern Ratchet & Clank: All4One is included in several prize packs up for grabs in MTBS’ Birthday Bonanza Contest!

So this begs the question.  If you could dust off any game in your library and play it in 3D…which would it be and why?
