On my LG Optimus 3D phone, all recently posted videos like this one play side-by-side and there is no option to switch to 3D mode :?: How can I verify whether I am doing something wrong, or videos are improperly configured on YT?

  • Avatar Neil says:

To get YouTube3D to work, the LG has a YouTube application. When opening a YouTube link, the LG should ask you which application to open with. Choose the YouTube application! Or, you can open the links manually in the application itself. Make sure to rotate the LG to landscape for the 3D to kick in!

    Regards,
    Neil

Thanks! While your instructions are correct, the problem was related to connectivity: it seems YouTube application will play 3D videos only in side-by-side mode when cellular connection is active, but it will play them properly in 3D when WiFi is active.
