Ahah!  The talk has finally been converted to action, and the Nintendo 3DS firmware update has gone live.  For those wondering what the big deal is, the new firmware gives 3DS users the ability to record 10 minute 3D videos (instead of just taking pictures).  It also features new StreetPass puzzles, and a new dungeon for StreetPass RPG-Lite.

If you prefer digital over packaged games, the 3DS now features downloadable content with the ability to get playable demos to try before you buy.  You can also transfer data from one 3DS to another, and even have downloads or updates going on while the 3DS is in sleep mode.

Check out the firmware update, and please share your thoughts and experiences with it so far in our forums!
