We just received word that Nvidia has updated their GeForce 3D Vision wireless glasses.  At the hardware level, they have improved battery life from 40 hours to an estimated 60 hours per charge.  However, the bigger headline is that the kit has dropped in price from almost $200 US to just $149 a unit.  If you only need an extra pair of glasses for your existing kit, it’s $119 a pair.

For those unfamiliar, Nvidia’s GeForce 3D Vision glasses are best suited for 120Hz 3D Compliant PC displays.  Make sure the monitor is listed as “3D Vision Ready” because their technology is proprietary and requires a dual-link DVI connector.  If you own a 3D HDTV, this product won’t work for you, and you should instead buy 3D glasses branded for your television, or from a third party manufacturer that supports multiple 3D solutions.  However, Nvidia DOES offer software support for 3D HDTVs through their 3DTV Play drivers.  This software can be purchased separately.
