While the ASUS press conference was very disappointing for stereoscopic 3D gamers (not ONE mention of 3D gaming!), there was some hidden gold!
While the green light was too late for the conference, Gary Key, Technical Marketing Manager for ASUS shared some tidbits about their upcoming 27” 3D Vision Ready Full HD monitor. It was late to production because of some component shortages, but he expressed confidence in its impending release.
Gary also mentioned their new G53SW notebook featuring 15.6” 3D Vision Ready display and updated Intel Sandy Bridge architecture (I7). The G73 is their planned 17” equivalent. We will do our best to update the info with pictures, etc.

Kevin Gao, Product Director (Lenovo)
Wei Jin, Director of Product Marketing (Consumer Desktop Business Unit) demonstrated their line of all-in-one PCs. This too is Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision approved, and had the option for GTX580 GPU support. The 23” model had the advantage of five internal speakers while the 21.5” unit has just two.
All the above Lenovo units are expected to have HDMI 1.4 support, but Kevin and Wei weren’t 100% sure. Pricing and release dates are still up in the air.
