Defining the Client-to-Cloud Revolution

It's no secret that we've taken a very big interest in the Client-to-Cloud Revolution, and yes, it's a bit left of centre from topics like virtual reality and stereoscopic 3D.  It actually ties in, and the reason we're so excited about it is because similar to the way stereoscopic 3D and virtual reality represented an opportunity to significantly improve and change the way we experience computing, so is the client-to-cloud revolution.

Maybe it was the extra cup of coffee talking, but I put pen to paper to express what the client-to-cloud revolution actually is and why I'm so personally excited by it through a blog on Gamasutra.  Check it out and see what you think!

It has been a major boon for the Client-to-Cloud Revolution at the E3 Expo!

Google Stadia

First, Google Stadia announced their first pricing model.  Google Stadia is a brand new game streaming service intended to rival the capabilities of other gaming solutions through the power of the cloud.  While this has been attempted for years by other vendors, technological innovations like 5G and readily available Internet bandwidth have pushed this far into the domain of reality.

The Client-to-Cloud Revolution is Happening

The International Future Computing Summit
Hello MTBSers!  The secret to our longevity has always been to be in and involved with what's next.  We believe the client to cloud revolution is what's next.  It speaks to the future computing ecosystem, it speaks to a new direction the industry is heading into, and we believe it's going to introduce new types of applications and experiences well beyond what we've had available to us until now.

To help enable this, The International Future Computing Association is making the client-to-cloud revolution its core theme for its 2019 International Future Computing Summit.  Making things even cooler is this is the first time we are holding the conference (formerly known as Immersed) in Silicon Valley at the Computer History Museum November 5-6, 2019.  It's about time we made the move, so we're doing it!
