3D Photography

Post by pixel67 »

Hi guys,
Just doing a little surfing tonight and ran across the attached 3D Lens cap that allow stereo image capture. Kind of cool.

There are probably a lot of other products like this. Does anyone have any experience with this or other products like it?

I always used to make a picture and step aside. The advantage of my method is the variable 'eye distance'. You could take some meters Seperation, if you think the motive allows it.
- It's cheap and light - just 1 normal Digicam.

Contra this method is,
-you can't take pictures of moving scenes.
- it's likely to make Pics which don't fit together (wrong Focus) or have wrong angle - which are turned around the middle...

You could also build settups of 2 Cameras on one board...

No, they should be parallel aiming at infinity from what I've read.
I think there's a guide somewhere on the internet.
