I'm open to ideas.

What do you have in mind?

I once found a Plugin/java Applet to show .jps files in different ways --> Crosseye, parallel view, Anaglyph...

It's quite old and can be found here.. Maybe you're better in using it, than I'm. I'm not shure, whetter to use it, or not...

By the way, can't you build in a Comment function now? Or shall we do that in the Forum?

This sure would make the Picture galleries come alive, wouldn't it?

his it would be cool, but unfortunatelyit is java..

not everyone has java and some people (like me) refuse to install it because its annoying.

i COULD go for javascript (javascript is not java)if there is something like that aviable.

we need to have the site 100% compatible with every user/platform.

I think he is talking about automatic application association. When you open a screenshot, by default it automatically launches the 3D viewer of your choice. I haven't tried changing any windows settings but run into the same issue with the Tridef Media Player. Only when i save it to my hard drive does the option appear in the right click menu to launch the player with the image loaded...

With just a "download as jps" things could be a lot easier, as it would automatically open the 3d viewer. Right now I have to use "Save as..." and change the extension before saving.

the problem is that the gallery does not support jps files. the format is not recognized.. i could ask in the support forum if it is possible to make a double upload so one with hte original name and one iwht the jps extension. but i doubt it.

i can also try to implement jps as jpgs but dont think it will work.

ok i foua way to use the jpg decoder withthe jps files. now jpw files are supported by the gallery, but there are 2 problems:
1) jpg files wich are already uploaded cant be converted

2) if you want to save the image it saves it as jpg anyway, even if the file is jps. (at least on vista)

i have to check if there is a way to add a "download file" button

I know someone who wrote a flash fla that allows the upload of images which can be edited to anaglyph on the web browser for viewing. I'm sure it could be modified to allow the use of it. I can contact the person if I can find him if everyone is game.

Here is the site: http://www.jondb.com/3D/

I just checked the old class website to get the link.

I didn't mean a support for jps in the gallery, but a link above or bellow the image you are browsing, that will make the web server change the name of the file, in this case the extension, before sending it to the client. I suppose that it can be done with php.

I see, perhaps having a link to download a zip with the image in it to save issues with the file extention changing.
