There's something I've been wondering about for a while. Please be patient if you think this is a n00bish question, because I'm not familiar with the iz3D and its drivers.
What happens if I get an iz3D (and install its drivers), then I use VGA splitters to connect it together with a dual-input HMD, like a Z800 Dual Pro or a Visette Pro? Will the stereoscopic images still be correctly generated and sent to both devices?
And what if I just connect the HMD instead of the iz3D?

No, this doesn't work.

I think one of the pictures from IZ3D just contains grey levels to adjust the polarization angle of the front panel.
--> you might see one grey picture and one 'double' picture at the other eye...

That's correct.
