Silent Hunter 4

Post by Neil »

I'm trying to get this game to work with the 93.81 stereo and Forceware combo, but the screen just won't separate.

Has anyone had success with this game? Any special settings needed?

Same with Silent Hunter 3 - something about the engine doesn't want to work for me.

Regards,
Neil

SH3: enable v-Sync in the Video Options, shut down and restart the game.

SH4: run the game to create a personal save profile.

Shut down the game.

Then open ...\My Documents\SH4\data\cfg\main.cfg with an editor
(notepad seems to be fine) and change 'Synchronized=No' under
[VIDEO] to 'Synchronized=Yes'. Save this file.

Now start the game again.

Follow-up: SH3 looks great in S-3D, the higher the separation the better!

But I once I get the initial separation, I cannot get Stereo to work for SH4.

Perhaps someone who understands these things better can find a solution.
