Happy Halloween everyone! BOO!

For awhile now, everyone has been talking about HDI3D’s new laser TV technology. They’ve done a great job getting endorsements from the likes of Steve Wozniak, Variety, ZDNET, and more.

Why all the excitement? It’s a question of comfort, color, and resolution. Thanks to the speed of laser technology, this television is capable of projecting at 360 frames per second for each of the red, green, and blue color elements. What matters most is that on paper, the light loss should be minimal because it is a polarized technology, and the images change so fast, it should not be discernable to the eye. Very promising!

HDI Ltd. is expecting a public venue version to begin production in the new year and will be exhibiting at CES 2010. No official word yet on at-home availability. Check out Engadget’s article to learn more.

MTBS members have already started talking about the potential of this laser technology. Share your thoughts in our discussion forums!
