passive 3d medium

Post by l.ley »

Hi

Does anny one know what the medium is for the 3d polarization method, i'm having doubts.... are interlaced images the medium ?
If it is can interlaced still images be seen with polarised glasses on screen ?

Thanks in advance

hi!
welcome to the board
the emdium is the same for all stereo solutions!

the polarization is done:

case a: projection
in the projection you use polarizing filters. the same as in the glasses, but with higher quality and more temperature resistant.

case b: iz3d monitor
the polarization is done by the front lcd screen

case c: zalman monitor
the polarization is also done by the front screen but row interlaced.

hope this helps. if you have other questions just ask.. :)

bye

nope- there is no front screen like iZ3D which has a back and a front LCD screen! Zalman and others use a line interlaces method to interleave left and right view - in front of the (only one) LCD there is a polarization foil orpolarization glass whihc polarized each line one right circular and then left circular

well the medium (or stereoscopic format) can be ANY format as far as your software/hardware is able to handle it and is able to output depending on your visualization method (projection, LCD screen or whatever) - some of these visualization methods use polarization but they are not dependent to the medium (stereoscopic format)
