...using the iZ3D monitor with a GeForce SLI config? I'm gonna be buying an 8800 GT this weekend, and if the price is right, and it'll work, I may buy 2.

I saw one recently in a forum who ran SLI and 3D... 2 7900GT's I think.

oh sorry i got my mistake:

reedit my post:

AFAIK there is no way to enable stereo on 2 outputs on a sli setup. (no dual projection for example)

But why should one enable Stereo on two outputs? Isn't it ok to use the second card just to render and the first card for the hardware output. Or is the second card inactive then?

------------------------

I have another question:

What about a dual monitor setup for working?

I though of buying the iZ3d Monitor and hook it up to my first card. But now both ports are used.

Can i add a second (SLI) card to use a second monitor for my windowsdesktop when I'm working in Photoshop?

if you have 2 cards you have 4 outputs... for some solutions you need 2 outputs.. and i THINK that sli is limited to only one output..

That is exactly what BlackQ from iZ3D was complaining about. That Nvidia turns off all but one output in SLI setups.
For that reason you can't use the iZ3D monitor or other solutions like dual projector setup with SLI.

I haven't tested it myself, but I guess BlackQ wouldn't say it if they didn't test it before.

BlackQ wrote:No - we need to say thanks to nVidia and ATI because in SLI and CrossFire mode they blocked 3 outputs out of 4 and you have only one active output - so you can not use this either for iZ3D or for multi-monitor configuration

With all my respect to these two nice companies I have absolutely no idea why they did it. I heard some rumors and even read some docs that nVidia will support two outputs for SLI, but reality is stronger than rumors :-)
