Problem with deciding on projector lumen... any help?

Post by Jahun »

Ok... perhaps anyone here can help me on this, since I am still a bit unsure what to do:

I need to rent 2 projectors for a S-3D presentation I'll be making. It will be shown in a normally lit room, when it's dark outside, so dimming may be possible.. but not sure. Best to assume normal room light.

It will be used on the Silverfabric material of 3.2 meter wide, having a 2.5 max gain. I can buy the SPAR filters, with the 76% transmission instead of the common 43%...

A projector I have in mind, is nice 1400x1050 and 3500 lumen.. Would that be enough brightness??

I think you'll manage with this rig. You have just about the same amount of light per sqm as i and that should be well enough. Just be sure you keep direct sunlight from the screen though.

cheers
