hi! i move this question to the correct section..

the answer is yes.. iz3d has a proprietary driver that means that you can play without any other driver needed.

iz3d drivers support also postprocessing, antialising, win vista, (in the next months dx10), nvidia series 8, ati cards, and whatever you can dream about.. :D

I think getting the iZ3D is the only option for you, if you want to play in 3D, if you have a GF8800gts.

Nvidia doesn't support the newer cards(yet).

You don't need the Nvidia support to play with the iZ3D, although it could be usefull.
Nvidias older cards and drivers supported iZ3D (as 'neurok optics' I think).

Maybe there will be a working S-3D driver by nVidia in the future^^

With what Neurok Optics and Samsung are doing, I bet it won't be too long at all! :)

Is there any indicator at all this is a "yet" situation?

Doesn't the beta stereo drivers support newer cards? I think I've read it.
