Hi the demo of Hellgate London is out!
it seems to be a nice game for S-3D which is no real shooter.

Only disapointing thing is it just runs in 2D - at leas at my systhem.

I've tried everything in the menue turned off/down and hit crtl+T and my system crashed...

I tried with dragons utility and without it.
I didn't fuddle around with any .reg or .ini

Maybe someone else can get better results...
or maybe we could post about this e.g. here:

I'm getting the same. System just hangs when I try to enable stereo. Quite a pity...

Hi I got some sucess with it on my 7900 after looking at this thread:
http://mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=3519#3519

I made two things different:
1.)
I changed some settings im my performance&quality section of the graphics driver. Including the change of FSAA to super FSAA and 'Force mipmaps: trilinear '.

2.)
I pressed the enabling hotkey when I was in the Character selection part. I don't know which one was the necessary one, but afterwards it stayed ok.

I try to upload some shoots in the MTBS picture section...

Edit:
I tried to activate the 3D in the game without sucess. When activating it while the character selection it works fine. Just make shure to keep it on.
Increasing Gama with crtl+G caused the game to crash - so use the ingame brigtness panel.

Drawback: The Frame rate drops quite a bit (at least on my systhem). Light effects are rendered completly wrong. - I had Shaders on high and decreased them gradually.

Don't ask me why, but suddenly I can activate stereo whenever i want, even ingame...

EDIT: Also my framerate seems ok, although I haven't really tested anywhere besides in the station yet. And this is with my videocard severely underclocked as it seems to be dying for no apparent reason :S

To prevent the vidio card dieing, you might check the GPU temperature peaks.
RivaTuner has an option to show this temperature (hardware monitoring).
If the temperature rises to much - at about 80?C - you should think about adding another fan to the PC case or changing the original fan

I'm already using a different cooler, have been from the start, temps always stay below 40C, so they aren't an issue at all.

Hm I tried low shaders for better performance, but the system begins to hang again...
However with shaders on High or Very High it works - if the hotkey is pressed in the caracter selection...

The shaders produce completly wrong ligting...
Has anyone found a registry or an other way to get rid of the light/glow?

Edit:
In my experiments it crashes when you set shaders to LOW.
It looses the 3D effect when loosing health, if you have low Models.

My fastest, best working selection options are:
everything low, except Models and Shaders, which are both Medium.
In all other settings the game seems to load more things, which results in lower Frame-Rate. That might be due to only 1GB Ram...

However if you have a good system and don't mind wrong light, set everything to High. And press the hotkey when you're in the Character selecting menue. It should turn 3D!

good luck and have fun
