Hi, I have the following problem with my 8800 gts:
Image
all objects have those weird black flickering copies. i didn't find anything about that. do you know something about it and how can i get rid of it?

i use the 162.50. forceware and stereo, but its the same with others.

hi! does it happen with stereo enabled or disabled?

I had a problem that looked a bit like that and I solved it. I had two monitors connected (actually, they were two projectors). I got similar actifacts if the two monitors were set to "dual-view". Setting them to "clone" fixed the problem.

i have only one monitor and i didn't change the standard settings of forceware. the problem is only in stereo enabled. with disabled, everything runs fine.

This effect look familar to me (on one screen with Shutterglasses e.g.) . It occours with different bad supported games. Sometimes it reduces the bar with copying, if you change seperation and convergence (strg + F3, +F4, +F5, +F6).

Other ideas are to change (ingame) settings - like disabling post processing or FSAA.
I'm not shure, but I think it worked for me.

oh i saw now that you have the 8800... 8800 is not working with nvidea stereo drivers at the moment.. nvidia did not relase a working driver up to now..

There are new betadrivers at the nvidia site (163.44). Anybody tried them? For now i use a 7900GT card but i do have an 8800GTX too. Don't want to tinker with it again if it's of no use. Anybody else? :)

i knew, the drivers are beta and except for this copying of objects they work acceptable. but i think i have to wait a little longer.

does the stereoscopic player work for you?
are the new drivers stereo or forceware?

New drivers are forceware betas. Maybe can be tricked with 162.15 stereo. But i'm quite in the middle tinkering with the friggin' stereosound in my movies. lol

cheers

you where able to get the medical image with the 8800?!?!?!? cool.. what did you use exactly? did you modify any ini file or something?

no, didn't change anything. just started enabled stereo and it worked. sometime the stereo effect seems to be "inverted". the smaller square ist behind the larger one, but after a restart its all normal again.

When running stereo on my 8800 i also get these artifacts exactly like yours when using the Nvidia driver. It's just to wait for better drivers. No such artifacts when using Kinddragons hook though.

cheers

which combination did you use exactly? i tried them all and wasn't even able to get the medical test image to work... i had a hard crash on most games and sometimes a bscod---

I think the only game i made with Nvidia drivers is Sonic Heroes... lol. And those artifacts were there with all Nvidia versions (the combination of 8800 and stereo3d is... :( ). hehe However i think most versions seems to "work" with Sonic Heroes though...

I've got the same squares, in most Games.
The Squares go away if you lower the seperation (strg+F3).

in World of Warcraft I get 3-4 % Seperation without squares. At bigger seperations these artifacts appear at the edge of objects in the background.

Same in Hl2 but in higher seperations, so I get a nice effect at all. In Bf2 there are something like the squares, but in the ground texture. Some part of the floor is on the left eye normaly and the other eye black.

But in Bioshock they aren't there. Generaly Bioshock is great for Stereo 3D (nothing have to be turned off).

I have noticed, that the squares came in higer seperations when you put the "Monitor Size" in the register "Stereo Setup & Test" on the highest value.

I use driver and stereo driver 162.50 at an 8800gtx and core 2 duo 6700.
for me the Medical test works fine, and the Test application when I run it from "Stereo Setup & Test".

ok i tested the stereodrivers again. the sutterglasses test image works, the neurok test image is just white, and the anaglyph test images is a frozen black screen. could somebody confirm these results? i have a 8800..
