3D Gugle Pro

I mentioned this in another post, but I think it deserves its own thread. This subforum only has three posts afterall.

Just want to say that a program I came across called 3D Gugle Pro is amazing for 2d to 3d conversion. I've only played with the anaglyph and stereo pair conversion of still photos, but the results have been great. Didn't take too long to get the hang of the interface either.

It can also convert video files. I haven't tried that, but they have sample videos on their website, including an amazing 5 minute anaglyph sample from the movie The Matrix. Everyone should check it out.

The Movies:

Some of their stills:
http://alfa.magia.it/Images/ExamplesDirectANA.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

lots of other galleries to check out there and the program to download, of course.

I was about ready to diss this post and declare it evil, until I saw the sample images! If they are genuine, that is indeed remarkable!

Edit: er, well at least I thought it was until I saw the price of a private license!! 450 Euro?? They can keep it! :)

The sample pictures, if really made with it look great. The video, not so much.

woah, geeze. Heh. I hadn't looked at the price tag. I've only been using the trial for a few days. The site design is awful, it's true, and the English in the tutorials is a bit screwy, but I give them a pass on that because they're Italian and the program does work well.

I converted these three photos with it the other day:

Classic Painting
-Animated gif: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... merate.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
-Anaglyph: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... aglyph.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
-Parallel: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... inishb.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Proportions of Man
-Animated gif: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... sdepth.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
- Parallel: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... 20perc.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Picture of a friend of mine
- Animated gif: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... ADSADS.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
- Parallel: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/ ... 70perc.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Edit: ...and ya, I haven't encountered any problems with it, running on Vista 32 bit.

1. view-double firefox-add-on creates missing free-viewing-versions. its not listed in addons-search
http://www.billh.demon.co.uk/stereo/viewdouble.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
after installation right-click your image(e.g. these parallels) and see four images. use second and third one as cross-eyed.

this one is more genious:schillr
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/a ... ddondetail" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
has also wiggle

-flipstereo has a firefox and google-chrome-addon
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/11459/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
some addons are sometimes ar not yet uptodate. e.g. viewdouble and flipstereo are not yet updated.
schillr is working on newest FF 3.684.

get more perspectives for smoother wiggle from http://www.start3d.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
they also have a print-service for dual-shot printed out as autostereoscopics/lenticular.
not cheap, no simple process, complicated to achieve by yourself.

start3d , flipstereo are dead
viewdouble not available at the moment. dont know whats wrong. if someone wants it i can deliver.
its shows double image as parallel AND cross. in FB one must open the image to see viewdouble in rightclick-menue of Firefox.
schillr3d can be seen by direct-rightclick but it will tell temporarily not available. but its working the same way like viewdouble. First open the image, then rightclick.
sorry not having a lot to do with 3d gugle.
maybe somene open a new theme.
