Finding hardware solution to convert SBS/TBS to sequential frame.

Hello :)

My video projector (Acer ApexVision L811) is not compatible with SBS/TBS. it only works with frame packing/sequential.

I'm looking for a hardware solution to convert SBS/TBS to frame packing/sequential.
For example: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32818500 ... t=Pc2Msite

But on the site it is out of stock. I tried on other sites, same thing.

Can you tell me where I can find this type of material?

THANKS !!

Hi !
Thank you for your reply ! I feel less alone !
I just ordered the 3DFury3D from http:/www.hdfury.eu/shop/3dfury/.
I hope I will receive it! It is marked that it does not need a transmitter if the projector is dlplink compatible (I will check)

Indeed I realized that they are no longer manufactured :( I saw on some Chinese site that it proposed to launch a production due to this model: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32818500694.html ?gatewayadapt=pc2 Msite , but if we order 200.

I also saw on this form a subject where a user was talking about this type of material but impossible to find it :/

Yes my projector is compatible with 1080@120hz and even with framesequential.

Maybe other users know of models still made.

The Mitsubishi 3DA-1 adapter, or is this a full 2D -> 3D converter?

I had to use it for a 3D Ready Samsung tv from 2007/08, it converted to checkerboard however the early 3D ready Mitsubishi's eventually had a firmware roll out which offered 3 or 4 3D outputs natively from the 3DTV.

Yes, that's the one, I wanted to try it on my projector to input checkerboard to see if I could get it to work, since at the time, Nvidia did not have a Checkerboard option.
Even once they added the option, I could not get it to work, since in that mode Nvidia's glasses were deactivated.
I never tried again, but these days with the known hacks for Nvidia's drivers and Geo-11 Checkerboard support, it might be possible to get it working on some projectors.
I've seen the Mitsubishi 3DA-1 converter on ebay for $10-$40 repeatedly the past few years. Still have mine for the old Samsung HL-5087S 3D Ready but originally had to reprogram the EDID on the Samsung to identify as a Mitsubishi. Seems strange we all have to resort to tricks most of the time for getting 3D to work.

Hi !

I finally bought the HDFURY X4 (3DFURY). I flashed it with the 3DFURY firmware, and everything works fine.
I can now convert a 2D 1080p side by side image to 3D frame sequential 720p!

Thank you for all those informations !

I bought the GeoBox 901 and use it since one week with an optoma uhz50.

Now I can play with geo-11 2160p sbs 60hz and the geobox converts it to 1080p frame sequential 120hz.
The picture quality is amazing, because the 901 does not convert the whole 2160p image to 1080p and then scales up each sbs picture horizontal to fullscreen, instead it splits the 2160p sbs to each picture and only scales down vertical. that way you reach a much better quality then a 1080p sbs to 1080p 120hz frame sequential would be.

so I am satisfied as screw with the geobox.

only DSR 2160p (or unreal r.ScreenPercentage=200) 120hz frame sequential to native 1080p 120hz would have a slighter better quality. but this only works when geo-11 mode directx9 and DSR (or unreal r.ScreenPercentage=200) would work. For now only kena did work this way... All other games I now play with 2160p sbs 60hz and the geobox as converter.

Hello,

the 3d frame Sequential in 1080 interests me!

Can you tell me where we can buy the GeoBox 901??

Thanks

There are 3rd party sellers with a substantial markup.

Good morning,
I just saw the prices: in 2700€.

Are there not cheaper mainstream models?

Thanks

Good morning,

It looks like the 501 doesn't do framesequential.
The HD Fury only supports sequential 3D 720@120Hz

My ApexVision L811 handles 1080@120Hz output with no problem.

Nvidia cards series 3000 or +, manage framesequential with the modified driver, but only for directx 9, and even with geo, it does not work correctly for all games.
