Is there something like Geo11 for OPEN GL?

Post by petermg »

I'm not using nVidia 3D Vision. I'm just using nVidia cards with a 3D display. I use Geo11 for SBS or interlaced. I currently use ReShade SD3D for getting 3D on OPEN GL games but is there a better option? Don't get me wrong, ReShade SD3D works very well but figured I'd ask if there was a true geometric 3D option for OPEN GL.

This would be his old wrapper, which I'm pretty sure did not rely on Nvidia drivers extensions for openGL, just ones from Khronos

Unlike his VK 3DVision wrapper which requires extensions for the Vukan API that are only found in Nvidia's drivers
rough examples https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-turing

Note: it absolutely will not work with super old games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, however SW KotOR II has a fix
as well as a few others https://3dsurroundgaming.com/OpenGL3DVisionGames.html (Read the ReadME) if using a fix

There's a thread on the old forums about using the wrapper, if you can find it.

Also, his Vulkan wrapper uses single frame stereo, his OpenGL uses sequential frame and must be used only with a GPU in games where a consistent 120FPS can be maintained, otherwise eye sync issues arise with low frame rates but they self correct when the FPS is back at 120.

Unless he has made a new single frame stereo wrapper for OpenGL as well, I'm unsure.

Edit:found the old thread https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/fo ... engl-apps/
If I remember correctly, his wrapper works with OpenGL versions 2.2 -5.6
Thank you so much! I'll check this out!
