Converting DX9 games to DX11 with DGVooDoo2

Hey guys,

I stumbled on a good thing here and it was mainly to fix DX9 games that did not work in Helixvision. I found DGVooDoo2 and it can convert DX9 to DX11 and I think it can even go from DX12 to DX11..
so I have done 3 conversions so far and was going to put them on the blog. but incase you wanted to know what games they are here is the list:

I figured you guys/gals might be interested in this find. not really much to it just drop the files in where the exe is and Voila DX11 game now.. I had to redo the fixes a bit. if you have any questions Please feel free and ask if I know I can answer if not maybe someone else does !! :)

I mainly use this technique to fix the games to get them working on Helixvision but maybe it could have other uses.. Some DX9 games do not hook into the Katanga screen and this conversion make them hook in great tool..

masterotaku has definitely been using this for awhile, but one new part here that The_Nephilim has hit upon is that it's possible to convert DX9 games to DX11 pretty cleanly.

The reason that is significant is... geo-11 support immediately as well. So that means we can make a DX11 fix for old games that can take advantage of the power of 3Dmigoto+geo11. Much, much better regex, and possibly higher performance.

DX9 support in HelixVision is a bit sketchy because of the need to convert the game from DX9 Devices to DX9Ex Devices. Microsoft blew it here, and the DX9Ex is not fully compatible with DX9, so some games flip out when this is changed. So bypassing that change to DX11 can possibly open some more DX9 games that don't work with HelixVision.

Well this was ment to fix the games that use DX9 in Helixvision that would not run in Helixvision. that is what was discovered here not DGVooDoo2.. I know about that as well.. just clicked to try it with the DX9 games that did not work in Helixvision..

I'm not sure why you would think that, this capability is clearly not mentioned on the official page, could you elaborate?

here I saw this here in the Output API and thought it ment it went from DX12 to 11 but I guess I was mistaken..

I copy the dgvoodfix into game folder and copy Geo-11 file overwrite. I can play outland run with direct11 and get 3d effect. Thank you
