PSA: bo3b posted a superdepth build working with 3d vision, works really well.

I missed this completely an masterotaku pointed me about this superdepth build that bo3b posted in the depth3d discord, and also thanks to Chtiblue for helping me get this to work. This is the full message and instructions:

This is an engineering build, so you can probably expect weirdness, bugs, and confusion. But so far seems pretty stable.
DX11 only, sorry. And to use the 3D Vision connection, you'll need either driver 425.31 or 452.06 with the global driver hack.

How to install:
1) Download this link for the current build and basic Reshade setup without shaders. https://bo3b.s3.amazonaws.com/SD3D_eng.7z
2) Unzip that into your game directory, next to the game.exe you want to try.
3) Download this link for the HV_LTS version of SuperDepth3D_VR+: https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Dept ... HV_LTS.zip
4) Unzip that file next to the game.exe as well. You'll have a folder named Depth3D-HV_LTS.
5) Run the game, which will load custom Reshade and setup for VR and/or 3D Vision. The default settings run HelixVision mode in the shader.

I would add that you need to disable the performance mode as seen in the pic to change depth/convergence and other values. Remember to reenable it when you're done to get better performance:

Depth3d wiki here: https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Depth3D/wiki

When 3d options show up, just hold control and click on the depth/convergence values to change them.

EDIT: If you're not getting any 3d, disable AA.

I tried this with Immortal Fenyx Rising, it looks really good imho:

WOOOW this is superdepth? WTF really good !!!!!!!

Whats done here to make it this way? Is this better than superdepth from the scretch of using reshade?

I think probably only bo3b can explain how it does what it does, but I doubt he shows around here to explain it. In any case it's great to have another tool to make some games work in 3d that aren't working yet.

So as i know you have many experiance with fake 3D, what do you mean ? Is this application better than usung superdepth from reshade ?

Actually this is the first time I use superdepth at all in any form since up until now it could only be used on tvs and projectors, I think chtiblue can explain this better than me since he pointed me in the right direction with this one.

Hmmm... Shouldn't it enable 3DVision as it is, when I install both files, Reshade starts normally and there's 2 shaders (displaydepht and prestretch) but enabling any of them does't make 3D kick in ??
Also cant find the superdepht option screen either...

Can anyone point a dump ass in the right direction ? Do I need to dwnl any additionel shaders aswell ?

Nice find, I recently gave it a try some time ago and was positively surprised by that game, it's like a roguelite when that didn't even exist, great graphics and nice story, watch dogs style, i think i'll give it a look too with this tool.

It should work as is, just unrar both files and put the files and the folder where the game exe is, and it should work. It should look like in the attached photo. Sometimes it doesn't load properly for some reason and I have to restart, try it again a few times. For example, just a few moments ago I tried it with AC Unity and the superdepth + vr wasn't there, so I had to copy the files all over again, seems a bit buggy in that sense. Not getting any 3d in AC Unity, i'll see if I can do anything on the config side.

Got AC Unity working by disabling AA, not looking good though, very bad halos everywhere at very high depth/convergence, i'll see if I can make it look any better.

Copied it over once more, and it's working somehow :)

I tried it on AC Oddysey, and looks rather good also with AA, and if I'm not wrong it actually has better depht and convergence than CM-U !

I'm still unable to find the optionpage though... is that working for you guys ??

disable the performance mode just like this image shows: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ ... nknown.png , then they will appear in the first page of the menu, not in settings.

Yeah It's the same but with that you can use SD3D on normal 3Dvision monitor but only for Dx11 games.

Sometimes I think we're so few here, but the immortal fenyx rising pic has been seen 136 times in two days, so maybe we're not as few as we think :) .

@Blacksmith60 that AC Odyssey pic looks good indeed!

This is by far the best fake 3D/ CM I've seen, with dynamic crosshair and every thing renders in correct depht like questmarkers and such, and the percieved depht is almost on par with geometry 3D !

I've spend some time adjusting the rather comprehensive options, and that really pays off, you can minimize the unavoidable haloing here !

Yes. I tried it the other day with Days Gone and it works, with what skyrimer posted.

With 3D Vision it's only for DX11, as he said.

Can you share your settings for Osyssey? I’m guessing 3D won’t get any better than this for this game.

Ofc, I'm not so sure that it's in a final state though :)

And no - it won't get any better, and I think it's a damn fine solution for our unfixed DX11 games, this way the game runs so smooth with every thing maxed out...

I just had to try an unfixed RTS title - Anno 1800, as expected an almost flawless experience, only when zoomed all the way in, some smaller artifacts became visible, but as before all game markers renders correct :woot
Only the cursor is in screendepht, there is actually a dynamic cursor but then the games own cursor needs to be disabled somehow...

Maid of Sker works really well too, the game is completely broken even with the latest Unity 2019 fix, but with SD3D it looks great. At first it looked bad, but turning on depth map flip fixed it completely.

Ghost Recon Wildlands works fine though ironsights are broken, I couldn't get the Ubisoft+ version to work since it didn't like either the 3d vision hack or simply the bo3b build, however it works with the "special version" found in some places of the internet.

Nice find skyrimer looks great, I'll get to that one at some point :)
Have you tried mingeling with the 1person weapon settings for the ironsight ?

I just tried Mafia De, but there ran my luck out, it simply wont run with Reshade at all !
But after some digging I found a special build that worked with the game, but ofc that doesn't load bo3b's ini files :(
I really hope that some day in the future Masterotaku will crack those 3 games...

Mafia DE was one of the games I really wanted to try with bo3b tool, too bad it's not working, that game looks great and I loved Mafia 2 back in the day.

I tweaked a bit with the weapon settings but couldn't get much on Wildlands, i'm clueless about superdepth so maybe it can be fixed somehow, but i don't know how.

So I've been playing Assassins Creed Unity with SD3D and I've been tweaing around with the settings. The thing is that SD3D can get fantastic 3D, but halos really kill a lot of the immersion. What I've noticed is that convergence is the only value that doesn't increase halos when you increase it, so i've finally set for this config:

Image

It doesn't create the most mindblowing 3d, but halos are very acceptable and less immersion breaking. If you have a better config pls post it. A few pics of AC Unity with this config:

This is great news. I was waiting to try out Cyberpunk and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Any ideas on Performance impact?

CM didn't suffer from the 3DV CPU bug so gave same performance as 2d pretty much, which was about 2.5x the performance of proper 3DV.

How well does this work?

Yeah No halo with your preset but no convergence (pop out) at all (ZPD) and huge front ground deformation ;)
I prefer some halos with some convergence (ZPD around 100 but it can depend from games) and correct ground perspective (Depth Map Adjustement) ;)

I'll check those settings a bit, but halos are immersion breaking for me, maybe with time I'll get used to them but for now I really want to keep them to a minimum even if I lose some 3d depth /convergence.

I agree with chtiblue, we need pop-out before the fun begins :)
First and most keep the dephtmap as low as possible, that really helps toning down halos.

Also when you finally settle with a setting, the trick is to distract from the halos, don't focus on them - forget them :P

These are my settings from AC Odysseys

@lysander I'll take uphill floors over huge halos any day ;)

@Blacksmith60 Nice settings, I'm copying some of those on my AC Unity settings, I still prefer lower ZPD to minimise halos, and indeed lowering the depth map helped with that.

Wow so this is very nice and I can finally use Super depth on my monitor
Played around a bit with this in Total Warhammer 2 and the results are a lot better than CM.
DJ-RK had put together a fix for this but it's never really worked very well due to the weird terrain shaders, and also broke CM sadly...

Is it possible at all to make the UI 2D like you can with certain flags in CM, anyone know?
