Any way to play 3D-VR videos using NVidia 3D vision?

Post by hexKitten »

My setup: I have a 3D Vision-supported 144Hz monitor and the 3D Vision 2 glasses/emitter, and run Windows 10. I have 3D Vision working for games (mostly via the 3D Fix Manager these days, now nvidia dropped support), and for SBS videos via the nvidia stereoscopic player. I do not have a VR headset.

Question: Is there any way to play stereoscopic VR videos (i.e. videos in SBS 3D where each half contains a 180 or 360 panoramic projection) so that they can be viewed through 3D Vision glasses, while controlling the "camera" using mouse/keyboard/game controller (since obvously my setup has no headtracking)? I have found examples of players which will play 180/360 videos where you can drag the mouse to move the camera, but none which I can get to run through 3D vision.

Many thanks for your help :-).
