ShadowPlay not recording 3D video anymore -> but crashes

If you are like me and you care about recording full stereo3D videos and maybe you are using ShadowPlay / Geforce Experience,
after version 3.20.5.70 all GeForce Experience & ShadowPlay versions will crash the driver the moment you start a game in 3DVision and want to record it.
This does not happen on 3.20.5.70! (Now I know 3D Vision is not officially supported anymore and I can't report this as a bug per-say).
However if you do install this version, then GFE at some point will update itself (Annoying!)
What has worked for me to stop GFE updating is this:
1. Turn off internet
2. Install GFE, BUT don't start!
3. Go to
"C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Downloader\latest\GFExperience\NVIDIA GeForce Experience.json"
OR
"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Downloader\latest\GFExperience\NVIDIA GeForce Experience.json"
(Only one place is valid)
- EDIT "nv-self-update-path=Downloader\\gfeupdate.json"
- INTO "nv-self-update-path=Downloader\\NOgfeupdate.json"
This will make GFE and ShadowPlay working fine and recording stereo 3D videos.
Hope this is useful for someone
Cheers!
