Metro Exodus

Post by DugomFirst »

Hi guys ! 3D is great there, thanks Losti !

Just having a question:

Can't we program RBOUTON to put all the 3D at screen depth ? It willl help me to shoot straigh : )
It says x22=1.0 so full 3D, but opicts and objects shoudn't be at the same depth ?

Or maybe something is wrong with my settings...

Strangely, the same x4 scope works great with some weapon and not with others...

@Losti - are you going to update Exodus water reflections, based upon your new UE4 work?
Dual boot VR/3D Vision disk partitioning (multiple SSDs). 3D Vision - Windows 10 v1809, 425.31 driver, 32 GB, i9-9900X@4.5 GHz, hybrid-cooled 2080Ti, 4K LG E6 OLED TV with EDID. VR/geo-11 - 3080Ti with Vive Pro 2, also have Aero, wireless lens-modified Vive Pro, Index, Reverb G2, Pimax 8K.

Here my save folder (GOG), were I've got 3 weapons with the same scope, it works with the pistol, but not with the AK and crossbow, this happen with the HUD set at 100% (max) Depth, where the not zoomed crossair is correct (and dynamic thanks for that love it):
https://mega.nz/file/QOQn1KAD#SD2ssD1J4 ... 7dzyFs2Hh0

Here the 3D video: (100Mo) Up to 24" and high conv !
https://mega.nz/file/lDZBiQCL#rZ0JOQQ9c ... GV5Ge5Yz9g

Another vidéo (150Mo) for huge 3DTV, so with low 3D (separation) and low convergence (some of you don't like high conv, which I do love).
https://mega.nz/file/1PZ1hABI#WcsM09Hew ... Ch90DmSF-E

But honnestly I can shoot with the 2 zoomed crossairs at the same time, that's not realy a big deal... It just not perfect. Again maybe it could be my settings.

Last thing, without scope, when aim, most weapons haven't the sigth align either.

At start it was just a question. Don't waist time for this. If people don't complain, it's not worth it.

Keep your time for interesting projects.

From the start of the second DLC, with 2 1080 Sli + 4790K, when look at the town, I get 19 to 22fps in 3D. So I think my CPU was out, but no I've try on an 10700K with 2080, same numbers ! Hard...

I've bought the Gold Edition last week on Epic (12$) which comes with 2 DLC but when I start the game from 3DFM both DLC are locked. Why?

Well, I had to start the game by itself (and not using 3DFM Play 3D button) to play the DLCs and doing that makes the game blurry as seen in this picture. Oh well, I'm done with it now.

May be you simply use the 3D fix, tanks the goods for this and than start the cmd script to launch it in 3D as an alternative start and not using 3dfm, do you have tried it ?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. But whatever, when I said I'm done with it, it was just to tell that I've completed the game and I don't plan to play more of it. Thanks for the help though.

Ahh ok, just wanted to tell you if you have troubles with launching it via 3dfm you can test the "normal" way via the starting md as descriped at the blog and report back if this will solve it^^

Thanks for looking at Metro fix again, Losti! I uploaded the file again - I do not think I moved from this area. I tried testing the saved game, but my old installed fix .cmd file no longer starts the game, and the game crashes with a direct launch (the game must be updated, also).

The game crashes sometimes, sometimes you have a black screen, sometimesyou have not fullscreen and sometimes it works. So ihave to start it 1-3 times :-)

I installed your new fix - Losti, but to run the game I had to rename the Overlay folder in the Epic Games installation folder. Maybe this is the answer to the whyme466 problem.

Your new fix looks great, Losti - the water reflections are superb! Thank you for the taking the time to create this update.

Thanks for the reminder, pj519. Since my version is on Epic Games, I must launch Epic Games first with the correct Overlay folder name, then relabel the Overlay folder before using Losti's .cmd file. Without renaming this Overlay folder, the game does not launch...

Yeah the epic launcher thing is a known issue.

I have updated the fix today, your savegame enabled me to fix issues that was only approy. fixed before. Should be more cool now. Im not sure if i can fix the damn side screen reflection to perfect. I also have a look at the HUD crosshair issues for different weapons.

Find the Overlay folder and rename it. By default, it is located in C> Program Files x86> Epic Games> Launcher> Portal> Extras.
PS
You must rename this folder after starting Epic

Did you guys play this game through the 3D Vision driver? The stereo is just great and the game itself is interesting, but I have such a defect - in the upper right corner a rectangle is formed about 1/5 part of the height of the screen and 1/3 from the width of the screen in which there is no stereo, i.e. simply 2D in this rectangle.
And during the download of the game, this rectangle is in the lower right corner, but inside it not 2D image, but just some artifacts in the form of white/black bricks. When game Menu starting - rectangle appears already in the upper right corner, where it only 2D an image.

Could be MSI AfterBurner/RivaTuner.

Try closing all overlay softwares.

I use Losti 3D-fix too (ver.5.01), but have this issue. Maybe problem in Edid Override driver for monitor, created by Pauldulser (3D-Fix Manager author) for able to play in 3D 1080p with 3D Vision driver on Optoma projector. In Nvidia 3D panel my pj recognized as Analog Monitor.

I use 3D Fix from Losti (ver. 5.01 from Helix blog) and not use 3D Fix Manager too. You play on projectror? I didn't know that 3D Vision driver could support 2715x1527 in 3D Stereo on 120Hz. I play 1920x1080x120Hz.
