Can't enable 3DV on Mafia 2 DE

Out of curiosity, what engine is it using?

Have you tried both W7 and W10? What version of W10?

I think the same proprietary game engine as Mafia 3...

I've also tried every thing, 3DMigoto is working, that makes me believe that this is a Exclusive fullscreen issue, it's seen before in games that claims they are fullscreen !

This is a real bummer, I would have loved to replay this great game, even the original still looks great !

Mafia 2 was 3D ready, this remake isn't... even if you could activate 3D

Ahemm..Not exactly 3D Ready, if you crank up covergence which is necesarry, some shadows - eg. under cars is broken and looks rather jarring, that's why I had a wild hope for something better here

Anyway as you said, Mafia 1 will also be great, if we can make it work...

I had no problem activating 3DV... w8.1/1070/425.31.

Hit alt-enter to get EFS once gameplay started and, voila. Issues with lighting, but not horrible.

That being said, the graphic improvements, at least in 1920x1080, are minimal - better off playing the original in "3DV Ready," IMO.

Try installing the Unity universal fix - there is something about its d3dx that seems to make a difference in some games where EFS doesn't kick-in. It was the only thing that triggered EFS for me in Super Mega Baseball 3, after trying everything I could think of.

Logically, it doesn't seem like it should work, but...

I totally agree with you. original covergence is a joke! I hope someone can fix the remake version. It looks like there are problems with shadows and lights.

I am on Win 7 too and can't enable 3D. I tried 3D Migoto settings abovementioned in my first message and Universal Unity fix. The same result. May be reason is Windows 7 ?

Lol, I was also so naive to try the Universal Unity fix, and ofc it didn't work, why should it....

But it's really sad to hear that you can't make it work either, you have far more 3D skills than I have, and I had a glimpse of a hope for a neovad fix

That'll be fine - I've not set 3DV on my Win10 yet. I have one more idea - change profile to 3D Hub Player

It worked fine on the latest version of W10 with 425.31... although the first time it started the initial options screen was a window less than 1/4 of the size of my screen... never had that happen before. Once I went into settings and set it to fullscreen, 3DV kicked in with no issues.

Mafia 2 SE works fine in 3D vision with the last driver 451.48 and bringback3D tool, but Mafia 3 SE, 3D vision is good, but not very good, still some shadows problems ...
