Those TVs back then were interlaced aka Checkerboard.
Zig uses a 4K Samsung from 2016 or so via a EDID override and the Checkboard format for active gaming.
Checkerboard is half frame/frame sequential/active.
The new LG TVs from 2019 and 2020 are said to be offering 4K@120 support but with restrictions.

It would be interesting, if these somehow could be made to work with 3D Vision, but I doubt it.
Damn that wobulation. I remember reading about that. So only 720p via 3D Play?3DNovice wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 5:23 pm Yes, but the native format is checkerboard. Any other format had to be converted to checkerboard to display.
Those old DLP 3DTVs did not have a full 1920x1080 mirror array, 3D and 2D images were both in the checkerboard format and displayed via an affect known as wobulation.
Hi Feisty_Fernando, have you achieved your goal? I have an active 3D Projector myself and can't find a solution to trick 3D Vision to recognize it as certified hardware with the option of at least 1080p@60Hz-. I'm stuck with either 720p@60Hz or 1080p@24Hz which is both unsatisfying.Feisty_Fernando wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 2:59 pm So there are EDID overrides for passive displays. Anyone know of any for the 120Hz active 3DTV's? The early Samsung and Mitsubishi 3D-Ready models from 2008 are 120 Hz displays while newer 3DTV's only featured 60Hz. Have never tried an EDID override on either of them before, it would be neat to use 120Hz 3D vision on a 50" or 73" screen without a Tridef-only solution.

Check the 3D Vision discord, there seems to be more luck with projectors using edid overrides.spawncrop wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 4:58 pmHi Feisty_Fernando, have you achieved your goal? What do you mean by "check the discord"? Maybe my English is worse than I thought, I don't have any idea what this means. Can you elaborate please?Feisty_Fernando wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 5:57 pmCheck the 3D Vision discord, there seems to be more luck with projectors using edid overrides.spawncrop wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 4:58 pmHi Feisty_Fernando, have you achieved your goal?
