Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered

Post by maurizioclaudio21 »

After 10 years the legendary Ghostbusters come back

My daughter wanted to play it in 3D
but not having the fullscreen option video
I thought it wasn't possible
But modifying d3dx.ini of 3Dmigoto-1.3.16 64bit it works
it's almost perfect
To enable 3D you need to install 3DMigoto and use "full_screen=1"

search for the line in d3dx.ini
; full_screen=1 forces creation of full screen devices and swap chains.
; use this for 3dtvplay if game won't active stereo mode.
; full_screen=2 will also disable SetWindowPos which might help in some games.
full_screen=1

if anyone is interested I will put my xbox controller key configuration for convergence modifications

I am pretty sure this game has a working steam fix and all reports suggest the "remaster" is only an upgrade from the console version.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes I read, but not having the console I know what to tell you,
the graphics seem decent and 3D is nice

Si ho letto, ma non avendo la console non sò che dirti,
la grafica mi sembra decente e il 3D è bello

How did you get the Remaster working in 3D?

Whatever I do I cannot get it to run in Nvidia 3D?

Original works fine in Nvidia 3d

Edit: I got the Remaster working using 3Dmigoto but 3Dmigoto is so much slower and lower FPS than Nvidia3D?

i8700K Geforce 1080Ti:

The original game (using Nvidia 3D and Helixmod) gives 36fps when looking at the bedroom in the firehouse from all the way behoind the pooltable as far as you can go.
The remaster gives 26fps in the same location using 3Dmigoto. This -10 fps difference is everywhere in the game.

:(

How can we get this to work with Nvidia 3D? or how can we speed 3Dmigoto up?

Ok I think I fixed it.

I had green text on the screen that said VS: 0/0 PS: 0/0, I hit numpad 0 and they disappeared and the fps increased by +20 fps for some reason.

Why are you using 3Dmigoto for hunting, if you have no idea what you are doing?

It's a tool, to mod a game for stereoscopic corrections, not a drop in solution to enable 3D.

Yes, there is a performance hit when shader hunting is enabled. As to be expected.

find the string in d3dx.ini

[Hunting]
; 0: Release mode is with shader hunting disabled, optimized for speed.
; 1: Hunting mode enabled
; 2: Hunting mode "soft disabled" - can be turned on via the toggle_hunting key
hunting=1 or 2

and put hunting=0
