Revision 1 glasses are much easier to open and swap a new battery.

If replacing a V1 battery, be sure to upgrade the battery a larger capacity version.

This should help! I made one tweak myself and exposed the wires externally leaving the plug connected. A little tough-tape later, and the batter is mounted externally for easy replacement.
