Hi,
The formerly CastAR projection head mounted system - currently known as Tilt Five - is coming back for real this time.
They have been developing it for four years.
There will be a rebranding with a new name, and a new kickstarter is set for September 2019 (next month).
A proper commercial release is planned for 2020.
There was an interesting demonstration posted on youtube from Gen Con 2019 here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxpkTrvAqqU
The official Tilt Five website is https://www.tiltfive.com/
It looks very interesting and so promising.
EDIT 2: For a technical review of the newly announced Tilt Five headset for 2019
- please refer to the video of Adam Savage's Tested - Hands-On with Tilt Five Augmented Reality Tabletop Gaming! at https://youtu.be/Jse-GwkcYgI
EDIT 1: For some background information on the former CastAR headset from 2013 - which the newer Tiltfive headset seems to be based on
- please refer to the video of Adam Savage's Tested -Testing the CastAR Augmented Reality Glasses at https://youtu.be/GpmKq_qg3Tk
Thanks.
