Replacing FreePIE.Core.Contracts and FreePIE.Core.Plugins

I wanted to try out the plugin for Kinect (when I buy it), but it seems to require replacement of FreePIE.Core.Contracts and FreePIE.Core.Plugins. Can I do that or will it mess up my installation (I am using beta 1.10.688, the install files for the plugin are about six months old).

If you recompile and put the dll in right folder, no problem
Why do you want to modify FreePIE.core.Plugins and FreePIE.Core.contracts? For what reasons..

are you sure for Contracts.dll, i will bet for Free.Core.dll... if you modify the filters plugin

I am not compiling anything, I wanted to to try out a plugin:

https://github.com/jakers1403/Kinect-Plugin-Freepie

that replaces the dlls, but I do not want to lose any functionality from the beta.

ha ok, you have just to put the kinectplugin.dll in folder plugins and the dll microsoft.kinect.* in the folder of Freepie

you could test without put the dll contracts.dll. normally this dll is just for creating plugin...hope the date of assembly is the same..

I do not have Kinect yet, so cannot fully test it. When I do that without Kinect (and the dlls), FreePIE just does not start. The issue has been reported on the plugin site, but there is no solution yet.

I guess I will use Kinect in other ways for now.

on the site, the developper says that the kinect must to be connected so you cant test without the kinect
