I wonder how much longer we have till the Stem system is finally released... It's becoming blatantly obvious they're stalling to be closer to Oculus CV releases.. Yes? The final version we saw recently at GDC2015 showed excessively large stem packs.. Those things are massive.. Fancy strapping a large block of chocolate to your head... No thx

I'm starting to think I should claim my kickstarter money back using my CC company. I dont mind waiting, but recently I've started to think that this product is never going to arrive, considering ETA was a year ago, and now it looks like it could be at least 6-12 months away judging from their current progress.

The delay is disappointing, but hopefully they can pull it together.

STEM died with the revelation that is Lighthouse. I own a Hydra, backed the STEM, and have used the Vive. STEM could have shipped on time and improved tenfold over the Hydra, and it would still be game over.

It's a bit of a shame really. I've visited Sixense's offices in Los Gatos; they're great guys and I wish them well. But for VR tracking the writing is on the wall and hanging in the corners of the room.

Its going to be hard to compete against the Vive, especially at the price point they're going for.

BUT its a great system. I'd like to see them offer an OEM option, so we could put trackers in anything, or see a generation of peripherals that use STEM for positional tracking and are platform-independent.

I talked to them at CES. Its *definitely* coming out in April. The December delay was definitely a bummer.
