ways to get low persistence on Samsung Galaxy S5 or LG G3?

Hi All,
I have searched over the forum about implementing low persistence in phone hmd. The only info I found for AMOLED is you have to overclock it to 75mhz and somehow put in in low persistence mode. Has anyone found a way to do this with their phone?
Also I found you can get low persistence on LCD screens with strobing the backlight of the phone. Is this also been done yet?
Just wanted to know if there is an easier way.
