Rapid VR views the big picture on 360-degree movies

WITH the long-awaited Oculus Rift virtual reality headset to release next year, a local film company is finding new markets creating 360-degree movies that offer frightening realism.
Sydney-based Rapid VR is among companies developing what’s called 360 VR that will change how we view action cinema and will revolutionise digital marketing.
Those who don a VR headset can look around in all directions — left and right, up and down and even behind them to experience action filmed by the likes of surf filming legend Taylor Steele and Australian Olympic skier Torah Bright — as if they were really there.
