I stumbled upon this, it seems to be somebody trying to take advantage of Rift interested consumers? :?

There is no way for me to verify.

Disclaimer: I am not considering nor promoting acquiring Rifts illegally.

I would be very careful with buying knock-off products. Mostly because you will receive no support or warranty from Oculus if you go that route.

Additionally, it could possibly be a scam, or maybe they are sending you something, but it's not fully compatible with the Rift software.

I would stay FAR away from that.

I agree with Cyber,

The sole reason for this post is for awareness purpose. There will always be individuals trying to take advantage of new products, in this case the Rift.

Anyway, I would stay away from this or other similar potential scams, but be aware that they exist

Cheers

@Cyber I assume you've got your guys investigating that?

That suspiciously looks like it could be genuine in the sense that they actually do have stock!

Factory leaking stock? It wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

The picture on the Alibaba page was ripped off from a DK2 review by Matt Hill on the T3 Gadget website:

http://www.t3.com/reviews/oculus-rift-2-review

They've just cropped the "T3" watermark out. These guys couldn't even be bothered to source a better picture. Yeah... they seem totally legit.

My conclusion is: pure scam... no stock. Otherwise, they would have taken their own picture(s).
