While waiting for Omni and others...
Have you tried to stand on your feet, use your Xbox 360 controller to walk forward and, at the same time, start moving your legs up and down to simulate walking? It works surprisingly well. Yesterday I ended walking and running around the tuscan house for nearly 20 minutes.

You can get a wii balance board for a perfect toddling simulation. The only problem is you can't turn around which makes it useless if you're into full immersion ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

It does work well. I suspect it may help with motion sickness as well.
I hang all my cables from the ceiling, which works great for TF2 where I spin around a lot.
The one downside of walking / jogging in place is that it's hard to break a sweat that way.
