MHZ-T1 For Cheap, But At A Price

I found a HMZ-T1 for cheap locally. However there is one issue. It lacks the set-top box.
Now I plan on chopping it up and removing the side band for use with my audiotechnical AD700 headphones, so I have no issue with cutting and chopping. But is there a work around for the lack of box? Or is there an inexpensive listing for one online? I imagine it wouldn't be nearly as simple as just splicing a HDMI cable and the HMD together as that wouldn't provide power to the device.
