iz3d for anaglyph and bioshock

Post by markovich »

I have a standard 3d setup and am using the ed shutter glasses with
an x3 projector but I have some games that I want to play which I understand
will work in anaglyph with the iz3d driver first off I want to play bioshock.

I am using an xfx geforce 7950 which I know will not install certain nvidid drivers
and I am finding that it will not accept the iz3d driver is this the same problem or
something else should I uninstall the nvidia driver first or should thay work together.
The only other thing is should I use red/cyan glasses or the red/blue.

Thanks Mark.

Red/Cyan should be better. It is newer and has (slightly) more color information, but SG is still much better!

NV (s-3D) driver should work good with IZ3D. You could even let the NV driver on activate on hotkey.
But if you want to use your SGs again, you have to
- turn IZ3D off (hot key is not enough this time)
- maybe restart the system to have only NV drivers working.

good luck :)

Hello!

We have never experienced any issues with the 7900 series, so that is a bit odd.

But, there actually can be issues with having the nvidia stereo drivers installed at the same time. We always say to uninstall the nvidia stereo driver before using the iZ3D Drivers.

Your video card should work with both Nvidia and iz3D 3D drivers for Anaglyph mode. You have to disable one of them, both cannot be running at the same time. Just set the Nvidia driver to "Disable Stereo" and then set the iz3D driver to "Anaglyph", "Enabled by Hot-Key". Hot-keys are on the numpad, I thinks its either "*" or "/" that start the 3d mode.
