Here is a video of a project I worked on while I was in College at Shawnee State University.
I recently found the footage from one of the shows and felt like sitting down and editing it and posting it before I lost it again.
Its two years late but I finally posted it

Nice. Can you explain what part you had on the project?

Re: SGET Institute UFO Defense "Project Godzilla" Spring 201
In the video I'm the guy with short hair with the Hawaiian shirt, Lab Coat and Sandals :p
Most of the project was two people, Sam Bushman and I wanted to make the motion capture lab more appealing to a broader audience than just for doing motion capture.
We also thought that making the Mocap room into a VR room would be more fun for tours than showing someone spend 20 minutes setting up Motion Builder.
We first started by just learning the Phasespace system. The API wasn't exactly written for realtime interaction and a few of the helper structures never seemed to work right so we wrote our own.
This video goes over most of our fall 2011 semester work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8waMAQfEjo You get to hear me read from a script as dry as possible :p
The spring semester we wanted to do something much bigger so we designed a simpler suit layout that could be put over clothing and could be put on in less time. We also bought a wireless fat shark HMD, it was affordable and the headset was self contained. The only issue is that the quality is poor on the video quality but there wasn't any other options in our time frame or price range.
I also used the same layout for an invisible maze game, all the feedback for the maze was auditory. This was an alternative in case we didn't get the HMD in time or the headset couldn't do what we wanted.
We got a 3d modeler to make the Robot, UFO and an another artist to make up posters. The buildings were programmer art, so was all the real life props.
I made a website with a bunch of the outlines of the plans listed on them here:
http://rahkogen.net/projects/ogre-3d-ph ... e-project/
http://rahkogen.net/projects/ogre-3d-ph ... 2-25-2011/
Overall we hit most the goals, even if I didn't keep the website up to date, I'll get it updated "soon".
