"Bionic Eye" may be a bit much, but it's certainly an interesting milestone. I'm very curious about the tech of it, especially how it sends signal. If you guys were worried about the resolution of the Rift, this thing only has 60 electrodes. Looks like most of the calculation is done externally and the signal is interpreted through a lot of specific training. The tech can only improve, the big news is the FDA approval.

I don't think I'd ever want to get an eye implant for AR or VR, but the process is fascinating. 2013 is quit the year for this field it seems.
