Is Oculus Corp evil?

Post by snorelab »

I know some of you have thought the same thing. Slowly, they come at night and grab us one by one. First it was nrp, then Brantlew, now Cybereality. Who next, JanVR?

Me??????

Perish the thought. I think I might be safe due to the fact that I am essentially a dilettante and a dreamer. But think about it people. Have you heard of a "Community Manager" before?

They've taken him. Now they may take me. What possible fake job title could they come up with? "Rift Game Tester"? "Virtual Reality Liason"? :Shudder:

It can happen to you people. Watch your back!!!!!

I think there are very few of us who wouldn't want to be assimilated.

I'm old, so I think I'd hold off. While I think my skills and ideas are valuable enough I just can't do that working-fourteen-hours-a-day-to-hit-a-deadline thing any more.

You're better off not doing it anyway. Running on treadmills kills innovation. That the levels of demarcation between the two needs be strict and watched by those running the show, to make sure that innovation is not stifled. A difficult line to draw, at best. Careful and thoughtful separation between innovation, creation, and invention vs that of idealization of production and production itself, is key to preventing floundering, over time.

Intelligence... is not inherent - it is a point in understanding. Q: When does a fire become self sustaining?

Hi Guys,

Just a heads-up that I cleaned this thread up a bit (which is why some posts are missing). I think my sense of humor was a little too pointed...even for me!

I heard they are doing some stuff about a T-Virus(?) in their basement..
Someone said something like "no! it's totally all under control!"
hmm.. and some of you may already recognized their new logo on the website
Image

I don't think they are evil.. they are just.. misunderstood.
