Hey folks. I spoke recently with Julian Williams, the creator of the WizDish which is an omni-directional treadmill-like product which hopes to allow us to physically walk around in virtual environments. I'm sure most of us have seen ODTs before but they are usually impractical for mainstream use thanks to size, weight, and cost. The WizDish weighs 14 pounds, has no moving parts, and could sell at a reasonable price. Luckey apparently has one on hand for testing (mentioned in ]this thread) but he hasn't had a chance to post his thoughts yet. I wanted to learn more about the WizDish and the creator of it so I spoke to Julian directly:

Re: Interview with creator of the WizDish
Thanks Ben. There have been about 70,000 YouTube views in the past week without it even hitting the major tech. news sites, which shows that interest in VR is increasing.
