Game AI

Anybody seen anything about improved AI for games? F.E.A.R was pretty good, but everything since then seems to be the same old "run at you while getting shot".
Honestly have not seen a lot of progress in this area. I couldn't even believe how bad the bots are in the new CS:GO. They will literally stand in place and fail to even shoot back at times. Really bad.
In Deus Ex : HR the enemies at least duck for cover and make it look good. I also thought Far Cry had decent AI for the time.
