That is exciting news, but I didn't see anyone mentioning that the sytem is actually compatible with crossfire.
There were obviously 2 video cards in the case, but were they being used in stereo mode? Guess we'll have to wait to find out.
Whatever the tech behind sapphire's s-3d I hope it doesn't involve a dual connection. I am amazed by sapphire, working on s-3d on an ati machine, without ati's support, I wonder who the monitor manufacturer is, it must be a pretty big company to do this behind ati's back :)

Does anybody know if this is the first ATI driver solution?

Btw guys - isn't that a iz3d monitor with the sapphire solution ?

If these are iz3d monitors, then crossfire is definitely working - 2 connections per video card.

Next couple of months? That is going to be more and more interesting... I will have to look into this and if it's not too bad compared to NV, I'll go with someone who is hopefully more supportive than NV :D

Wait a minute...why are they partnering with IZ3d to use Saphire drivers and IZ3d hardware when IZ3d has the best drivers to begin with?

I don't understand.

It is running in Crossfire mode. Notice the 6th picture's details. It says "Crossfire DEMO" as the heading and shows both video cards in the "Graphic Card" section as well as the 3D monitor in the "Monitor" section.

Those are not iZ3D monitors. The 6th picture states the monitor is a 22" Sapphire 3D monitor. Also, in the 1st picture you can see that there is no iZ3D logo in the top left corner of both monitors. Although they're very similar-looking, these are not in fact the same screen we're accustomed to.

These monitors might not be branded IZ3D but I bet they come out of the same factory as IZ3D monitors. It can't be a coincidence that they look exactly like IZ3D monitors (except for the IZ3D loge in the top left corner)

Maybe so, but let's not assume that just because they look similar.

My opinion, they are OEM iz3D monitors. The similarities are just too striking from those pictures. Its possible the internals have been reworked, or they are using a different driver. I can't say from the picture. But there is a good chance they came from the same OEM just due to the visual similarities. That just my opinion, theres no way to know for sure at this point.

Either way, the more the merrier!!! I think this is really it, 3d is finally going to hit the masses. No way all these different *consumer-level* 3d monitors are going to come out if there wasn't a viable market. Sure they have shown 3d monitors many times before, but usually they are super expensive like the Phillip WoW. This is the first time in a long while (maybe ever) that 3d market looks like its leaving the back alleys and strutting its stuff on broadway.

Here's another picture. It looks 100% the same as iZ3D to me.

Hmm... Yes, they do look almost exactly alike, if it were not for the labels... If it were in fact the same screen, then would that mean iZ3D is working together with Sapphire? It seems that Sapphire is making their own drivers, so wouldn't that be bad for iZ3D's business? Or, could Sapphire use the same factory and technology as iZ3D yet have no affiliation with them?

That wouldn't be unheard of in the PC market. Just like most Nvidia cards come from the same reference design (probably even the same factory) yet are branded as EVGA, BFG, XFX, etc.
