Putting 3D Videos onto a 3DS

Hi,

The firmare update to enable 3D video recording on the 3DS has been released, of course.

However, other developers are progressing a video converter application to enable third party 3D and 2D movies to be played on the 3DS - by uploading the converted video from PC onto the 3DS via the SD card.

This is going to be big as 3D video for the 3DS is quite compelling.

Thanks.

There is a beta version of Stereomovie Maker available that supports the 3ds video format too

"The Nintendo 3DS recently received an update allowing it to both record and play
back video.

The native resolution of the 3DS is 480x240 and 20fps.

So,I supported this resolution in the latest beta version here.

Hi,

Developers have just completed the 3D video converter v1.0 for the 3DS.

This is BIG NEWS if you have 3D movies and want to convert them for portable viewing on the 3DS.

The software development thread at GBATEMP.NET has created massive interest since it started two weeks ago, and has reached around 60,000 views and 500 posts.
This program can convert virtually any video to the format required for 3DS. It can convert both 3D and 2D videos (3D videos in either top-bottom or side-by-side formats).

Thanks and well done.
