Wii games in 3d

Post by xiphas »

so lately i have been playing around with the wii emulator "Dolphin". It has a 3d vision mode built into one of the dx9 plugins. You guys need to check this out. Donkey kong country returns in 3d and in hd is amazing. The ammount of depth and convergance in the game would almost lead to me believe the game was made for 3d. I honestly cant explain just how good it looks.

Think im goning to try the new metroid next, see what thats like in 3d

That sounds pretty cool. Might have to check that out, except I sold my Wii and all the games I had. Doh!

t has a 3d vision mode built into one of the dx9 plugins.
Does this mean that it's the program itself that builds the stereoscopic scene? Not the drivers?
If this is true, how does it perform with different 3D solutions (nVidia, iz3D...)?

Yes, it renders the scene in 3D via DirectX, all that drivers like Nvidia 3D Vision and IZ3D are doing is tapping in to render two different eye views.

Never used it with the Nvidia drivers, but IZ3D works very well!
