Hi, I got DOOM 3 Working with S3D just do this since it is an Open GL Game:

Do a search for the file opengl32.dll in your windows/system or windows/system32 directories. Find that file and copy and paste it to the desktop. Then, the new file that you pasted to the desktop called opengl32.dll, rename that to sysogl32.dll and copy it and paste it back to the same directory you got it from (example: windows/system or windows/system32) Now try your openGL games again.

I am going to try Wing Commander next ;)

Doom3 works with old school stereodrivers (which you use). Never needed to do such thing like this though.

Does this method still apply for 3D Vision Surround with 280.x drivers?:)

The new drivers no longer support OpenGL, so no.
