"For the first time in PC gaming, digital downloads have surpassed physical purchases, research firm NPD Group said. But in terms of revenue, the industry hasn't made the switch.
During the first half of 2010, NPD said, 11.2 million full PC games were downloaded -- versus 8.2 million games sold at retail stores. (Overall, combined sales were down 21 percent over the same period in 2009.)"
